Welcome to the JBGFC Family Fishing Group, where family and fishing go hand-in-hand! We’re thrilled to invite all full financial members to join us for our monthly weekend events that promise excitement, camaraderie, and a whole lot of fishy fun. And here’s the best part: Children under 16 can join for free!
EVENT DETAILS
- When: Last weekend of every month (except December, which will be the second weekend).
- Time: Fishing begins at 4 pm on Friday, with weigh-in at 2 pm on Sunday at the Clubhouse, located at Frank Lewis Way, Woollamia.
- Fish of the Month: Juniors have a special category to aim for, with a coveted trophy up for grabs!
- Weigh-In Requirements: To ensure eligibility, make yourself known to the committee at the Clubhouse before 2 pm on Sunday. All fish must be cleaned, gilled, and gutted for weigh-in.
- Weighmaster’s Decision: The weighmaster’s decision is final. However, if there are any disputes, they must be raised during the weigh-in and then submitted in writing to the committee for review.

Points, Prizes, and More!
- Points System: Points accumulate in both Adult and Junior categories, putting you in the running for end-of-year highest point score trophies.
- BBQ Fun: A sizzling BBQ will be running during each weigh-in. A gold coin donation is required, except for other JBGFC events where different donation formats will apply.
- Thirsty?: Drinks, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic, will be available for purchase at the clubhouse. Rest assured, RSA rules and qualified staff will be in place. Water is provided free – no BYO.
Categories and Prizes
- Highest Point Scoring Adult: TBA voucher
- Highest Point Scoring Junior: TBA voucher
- Junior – Heaviest Fish (Fish of the Month): TBA Voucher + Trophy
- Lucky Angler: A ticket will be issued to each person who weighs in (both Adult and Junior) for a chance to win a prize on the day.

To keep things fair, only the species listed below will be considered for points. We’ve aligned our bag limits and sizes with DPI guidelines, ensuring a level playing field for all participants.
